The elevation feature in the iBike is pretty cool (orange graph at the bottom). And yes, you can also see how much total climbing you have done - either in the "Climbing" category in the stats box at the top left of the data download, or in real-time on the meter itself while you're riding. There's a "Total" toggle to the button that gives you that data along with distance, kj, time, np and others.
On the topic of hills, there is also an "Enviro" toggle you can hit during the climb to display the slope of whatever surface you're on at the time. You can also view that data using the iBike software which I haven't enabled here as I don't really care to see it every ride.
By selecting one of the climbs as an interval, the stats box updates to show just that interval, revealing that the Mormon Hill has 196' of vertical gain, an average slope of 5.5%, and a maximum slope of 14%. It also shows my average speed at a mere 13.2 mph, despite 370 avg watts of effort, indicating that I'm in for long, lonely days at Lost River and Coppi.
Hey there, this is Boyd Johnson from iBike. I came across your blog and it's really cool to see how people are using the iBike in training and racing.
I do see a couple things I want to look at with your profile. If you get a chance can you shoot me an email at boyd (at) totalcyclist dot com. I want to make sure you are getting the best results.
