VO2 intervals in the early AM. Normally I try to do 6-8 of these, but I just couldn't get my matches to light. I need drier matches, and more of them. Lots more. I haven't done 2x20s or 3x10s in a while because my schedule has been tight, but maybe on Sunday I'll have the chance, or one day next week.
Off Friday on purpose. I'm racing Ride Sally Ride and learned from this season and last that a day off the bike before a race has me primed better than a day of openers before the race. I buy the whole opener philosophy, but when you're teetering on the brink of debilitating fatigue every day, rest trumps readiness. For me anyway. Your results may vary.
For the first interval here, my HRM wasn't firing well. First time I've seen that happen with the iAero HRM. It happened all the time with my PowerTap HRMs.
